CHAPTER 3:

It’s obvious that singing came before speaking when you consider the fluctuation in a child’s speech. Talking and singing became two things when deviants of flux decided to remove all fluctuations. All possible symphonies preexist in a constant state of flux in another dimension, and they are what they are when they leak out of the mouths of constant narrators.

DEATH TO THE NARRATOR!

Hi 30dayartists,

I’m currently developing a cross-media narrative

This narrative is projected to span across various mediums:

a) an internet show,

b.) some zines/pseudo-religious pamphlet

c.) and a short film…

All these media will be used to perpetuate a hoax/ backstory about a cult of worship that revolves around a prolonged contextualization and re-contextualization of man’s never-ending search for truth. It is a detective novel about people walking in circles, writing to bury their pasts beneath them.

The starting point for all of this is a Novel I’m working called

About:

DEATH TO THE EDITOR tells a story about the development of the cult (Struxus) spanning the timeframe of a few centuries. The gimmick is that in the book, narrative authority shifts depending on who is in control of the cult at any given time. It may seem a little dense and confusing, but don’t be afraid to explore the trail of digressions and hypertext.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

I am trying to put together a mailing list for updates on the novel’s status,

as well as to get in touch with like-minded artists for the development of a crowd-sourced internet show based on the tone of the Novel
(the show is part of the hoax and will be presumably “funded” by Struxus and credit the contributors in pseudonyms)

The content of the show will be pretty freeform, as the cult stuff is more of a sandbox than a soapbox.
Think Monty Python meets a pastiche of lo-fi public access televangelical video footage set in the future.
