The Lurker In The House – Paul Pereira

Above is a small sketch i did on the bus today and it touches on one of the themes i’m interested in exploring. The internal world represented as an interior hall/room/space. The strange vase of flowers is like the inner artistic life, blooming like a sun which is a creative force. The figures are various personalities that ‘haunt’ my interior life-scape. Ominous, shadowy, hidden, buddha like. The language spoken is that of sigils or symbols, refering to the idea that intuition is symbolic in nature and cannot be wholly expressed by language. There are paintings on the wall, representing imagery that comes from within. The chair, well, one can get tired exploring the inner realms.

Just today, i finished producing AFTERVOLTER: A 56 page experimental art book / graphic novel.
Most of the images were taken from my 30 day run and remixed with other images from prior work to form some kind of narrative. My first run of 10 copies will be available by this week and of course you may put in an order if you like. Details in the link.
And that is the beauty of a 30 day run. You end up with 40 pieces of content. Which you can use in various ways after the run. Even if you don’t, the artistic aspect of your soul would certainly have been woken up and that is in itself a wonderful mysterious miracle. The power to create.
