Stainthe conflict between gain and loss
" Today is a very confusing day for me,
because I have to think, which I normally not used to.
I have to think how to take my paintings up to Peneng for the show,
the package is much bigger then I expected.
I have to think how to finish works that is delay.
I think I have to let few things a side for a few days and get the show done first.
So, please not to expect something spectacular from my work these few days,
I will try my best.
Today I "finished" a work from a piece of drawing that I have put under many many papers for many many months. I worked on it and after the blacken out of unwanted area, It seems to make sense.
I called it " stain " because of the coffee stain I poured on top of it.
In life, we seldom welcome any kind of stains on our belongings, whether it is a spot of wine stain on our dress, or maker ink stained toour marble floor. But in a piece of art work, you would want it to be otherwise, you would afraid thatthe stain didn't last, it may fell off, or fade!!!!!
in anyway, you wish it to last. In another word, I felt this work, ( which is like a study, or observation ) remaind me of the fragile self, the conflict between our gain and our lose.
The fear, the desire is in one body. I believe if anybody is going to ask me to sell it,how to preserve it would be the main condition the buyer would ask. "
